Coolidge, 60, spoke to Variety and shared the “benefits” of her role as “MILF” in the film.

“I had a lot of fun being a MILF and had a lot of sex action with ‘American Pie,'” she told the outlet. “There were so many upsides to doing this movie. I mean, there would be about 200 people I would never have slept with.”

“Some jobs, I’m kind of like, ‘Wow, that’s not worth working for.’ what mike [White] wrote, I was up late every night,” Coolidge said of “White Lotus” creator Mike White.

“I did one really good thing in my life,” she said. “I chose good friends. If Mike had never made it and we were doing ‘White Lotus’ as a play in a small theater where everyone paid 10 bucks to see it, it would still be one of the greatest things that ever happened to me because it was a killer job that nobody else thought I could do.

“Every time I lay in bed thinking about what I want Jennifer to do, I know it’s something she wouldn’t want to do,” White told the outlet. “One minute she looks fragile, like everything is about to fall apart, and the next minute she’s tough and doing hilarious riffs. Just when you think all hope is lost, she knocks it out of the park .”

In December, Coolidge told Page Six that she almost turned down the role due to weight gain due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Coolidge credited White with removing her from roles such as “Stifler’s Mother” and Paulette Bonafonté Parcel in “Legally Blonde.” However, the actress will reprise her role, alongside Reese Witherspoon, in ‘Legally Blonde 3’.

“Maybe I got this special attention because people saw me as Stifler’s mom or the ‘Legally Blonde’ woman. So if they see anything else…” she said . “People I could never get in – all of a sudden they’re asking me to be part of their business.”
